The Finnish education system has been rigorously tested for decades with outstanding learning results. It combines the best and latest learning philosophies, models and practices with neuroscience and continuous development to meet the highest standards in education. Neuroscience tells us that on average, it takes approximately 400 repetitions to learning something new, unless the learning takes place via play in which case it only takes 10-20 repetitions!
In Finnish early childhood education, learning is understood as a lifelong process. Learning happens in an active way by utilizing children’s natural curiosity, their will to explore and the joy of discovery. Free play is a natural way to learn physical, emotional, social and intellectual skills, and play is children’s main activity in Finnish early education.
Finnish early education helps children build their self-confidence as learners through positive emotional experiences.
In Finnish-style education, we help children discover their own sense of resilience, by teaching them how to think for themselves, learn to love learning, solve problems, express how they feel, and value their own opinion.
